Device details page

The device details page shows you the details for the device in the Properties tab. In v.4.0.1 and later, use the Flows tab to view a list of recent network flows to or from this device.

Information in Device details page Properties tab includes:

  • Overlay device IP: View and edit IP address
  • Device type: View IP address
  • Airwall Gateway: The Airwall Gateway or Airwall Linux Agent that protects the device
  • UUID: ID for access using the Conductor API
  • Membership: Device's membership in overlays, device groups, and Airwall groups
  • Device metadata: Device metadata such as interface and labels
  • Remote device: What devices it has trust to and which overlay controls that trust policy

On the Flows tab you can view current, closed, and dropped flows and see details about the traffic passed.

Managing a device

You can manage a device from the device page:

  • Enable or disable network communication – Toggle Network Communication on or off. If a device is causing issues on the network, you can disable it while you troubleshoot.
  • Check connectivity - Click Actions > Check connectivity. See Using the connectivity checker.
  • Manage device membership – Select any link, Overlay, device group, Airwall group, or remote device, to go to that page and manage the device's membership.
